Great Land of Gems was co-created in 2022 by Richard Fisher, GIA Graduate Gemologist, who also builds software for the jewelry industry including jewelry design and CAD software. He built Appraised to create a more streamlined way for the public to discover talented appraisers.

How a listing is verified

We confirm the credential with the body that issued it and that the practice is trading. Both have to pass before the page publishes.

Who is listed

Paid listings are from appraisers who signed up. Public listings use only what they already publish on their own site, and are labelled unverified.
